We are very sad to announce the death of Jean Guéguinou, former President of the Franco-British Council in France. He was 79 years old.
Jean Guéguinou, born in 1941, was a French diplomat, elevated to the dignity of Ambassador of France. He was notably Consul General of France in Jerusalem, Ambassador of France in Czechoslovakia, in the United Kingdom, in Rome to the Holy See, and Ambassador / permanent delegate of France to Unesco.
He was President of the Franco-British Council in France from 2002 to 2011.

Il était notamment consul général de France à Jérusalem, ambassadeur de France en Tchécoslovaquie, au Royaume-Uni, à Rome près le Saint-Siège, et ambassadeur, délégué permanent de la France, auprès de l’Unesco.
Il était président du Conseil franco-britannique en France de 2002 au 2011.
