On 9th July, during the Franco-British Council Young Leaders and Local Leaders seminar and as part of the State Visit of French President Emmanual Macron, Young and Local Leaders met with Prime Minister The Rt Hon Sir Keir Starmer MP and President Emmanuel Macron at the British Museum
The event was for the announcement that the Bayeux Tapestry will go on display in the British Museum in 2026.
We are delighted that our Chair in the UK, Lord Peter Ricketts has been appointed by the government to act as the UK Government’s Envoy for the Bayeux Tapestry Loan.
During the meeting the French President and the British Prime Minister took a selfie with the Young and Local Leaders

L’événement avait pour but d’annoncer que la Tapisserie de Bayeux serait exposée au British Museum en 2026.
Nous sommes ravis que notre président au Royaume-Uni, Lord Peter Ricketts, ait été nommé par le gouvernement pour agir en tant qu’envoyé du gouvernement britannique pour le prêt de la Tapisserie de Bayeux.
