About Us

Founded in 1972, the Franco-British Council brings together leading representatives from the world of culture, politics, defence, science, education and business. The Council has a bilateral governance with members and trustees in both countries. It receives funding from the British and French governments, and generous donors and corporate sponsors.

The Council is co-chaired by Baronne Blackstone (UK) and Professeur Christian de Boissieu (France).

The Council has trustees and members: Olivier-Remy Bel, Simon Day, Jean-Pascal Sibiet, Marine Shah and David Wahl.
